So I'm not really one to be a purse snob, shoes are more my thing. When I do carry a purse it's my hand-me-down Vuitton,  but that doesn't mean I cant appreciate a GORGEOUS piece of arm candy when I see one.

Yay for Sharpies! They make detailed manicures waaay easier. I used one to draw Mayan hieroglyphics on my nails today. From index to pinky it reads, "Sun, bat, heron, throne." I wasn't really going for a coherent sentence xD.

Anyways. The second part of the Gluttony prompt calls for painting something that makes your stomach growl, and nothing does that for me more than sushi! Seriously, I will eat sushi anywhere, anytime. Best food in the world. I would eat exclusively at Kona Grille or Ra if I could.

I'm really going to need a sushi fix in the next couple of days now! There's no ignoring it. From index to pinky are as follows: California Roll, Shrimp Sushi, Tuna Roll, and Salmon Sushi. Not featured is Crab Crunch or the Vegas Roll (which is to diiieee for!).

What makes your stomach growl?

Today I was inspired by the patterns on greek vases, like the one here. I started to wonder why it is that all Grecian vases are variations of orange, black, and white. I really couldn't find a good a simple explanation, everything was in over explanitory terms. Basically the vase was a different clay than the slip (watery clay) used to paint on the figures, and when fired in the kiln they turned different colors.

I think this turned out quite nicely, I kinda like the unevenness of the pattern. Plus twists on french tips are always fun :)

If She Doesn't Scare You, No Evil Thing Will

For the sake of getting caught up, I'm breaking my usual one-post-a-day limit.

This was my second attempt at a sugar spun mani, my first looked like an axe-murder  scene. The colors I choose reminded me of Cruella Deville, hence the post title :)

I really like the sugar spun technique, it's interesting. I think next time though I'll have to mix up more "sugar" for my last to nails so they don't look so faltering.

Lovely Lilies

Next to carnations, lilies are my favorite flower. I love carnations for their scent and range of color, and I love lilies for their simple beauty. I was excited to find out that there is a Casablanca Lily, so I did this weeks mani inspired by it.

R-O-C-K Me Again

Hey guys! I'm having a fantastic day off today, today was a staff development day, so teachers go to school and students don't. Hooray! I've had Pandora blasting on the Cher Lloyd station for awhile, and a One Direction song came up that I can't stop listening to now. So I decided to do some nail art for it.

I decided that black and pink are about as rock as I get. Is blue hair rock? It's not a mohawk so probably not. There are reasons why I listen to country.

I'm new to Ellagee polish, but so far my impression is that it's great! The formula handles very well and you don't have to fish around for glitter bits. I've Got a Crush on You is a mixture of square and hexagon glitters of varying sizes, which are pink and silver holographic. It dries slightly matte so I added one coat of Revlon Fast Dry topper to shine it up

Pretty Please with Chanel on Top?

Hey guys! First I have a story to share with you, I rode the public bus all by myself for the first time (!). It was kinda scary but it was a double decker so that was really cool, though not as cool as the Knight Bus. Anyways, I'm super excited about a contest that I have entered, Rite Aide's Nail Extravaganza. The rules are simple, enter your most creative nail art look and ask your friends for votes. Line Games

So I'm waaay behind on the 7 Deadly Sins Challenge (thanks AP), but I still want to complete each prompt, even if I can't put it into the inlinkz. So here is part two of Lust!

This manicure called for "letting your body talk". Usually my body "talking" means it's lunch time, so I decided that it's meant to mean to just go with whatever strikes your fancy. I picked the purple since it's my best friend's favorite color and Cher Lloyd's song Oath was playing, the black striper was sitting on my desk so I just went with that, then I thought, "Glitter makes pretty much everything awesome," so that happened too. I rather like the result, I should do stuff randomly more often.

Oh yeah, how has your guy's Mothers Day gone? My Mom had to work today so we're celebrating tonight when she gets home. My brother and I made a wine bottle candle for her. We used the string/acetone/fire/ice water method to cut the bottle, and I double boiled old candles for the wax. The results were quite awesome, and we didn't maim ourselves/set anything on fire. Yeah science!

Hey guys! My AP Exam is finely finished so now I can get back to blogging :). There was many sleepless nights, some frustration, a few casualties (ok I broke my index nail ripping tape), but hopefully it will all be worth it when I get my score in July. Now on to the nail art!

Today we visit Mexico city. I always think of those bright, vivid ponchos people wear. So I googled "Mexican Ponchos" and used a bunch of pictures for inspiration for my design. I created this look by spongeing each color on separately (the traditional route just made a muddy mess) then used stripers to make the zigzag design.

I consider myself an extrovert. I'm usually comfortable starting conversations with strangers, and I'm a lot less shy than I used to be.

I'm hoping this means a specific piece in my wardrobe, not just a general item like dresses or shirts. My favorite is the diamond earrings my parents bought me for my 16th birthday, I wear them every day.

I wouldn't say it's a favorite but it's definitely one I like. It's a picture of me in bed with one of my dolls, when my eyes were still blue and my hair was short and super curly. Now it's long and curly.

I know enough German and enough French to make my way around Berlin/Paris. I'm working on Rosettastone for both languages. I prefer German over French.

Disney Scene It. I have only been beaten once by my Aunt Marion.
7. What’s your favourite feature about yourself and why? It can be a physical characteristic or a personality characteristic.
My favorite feature is my eye color, they're hazel leaning more green and I have brown "freckles" in my right iris.

I am absolutely terrified by wolves. I used to have horrific nightmares about them when I was little.

I cut my hair extreamly short in 7th grade. Big mistake.

I was inspired by the cool design of their flag for this mani, my representation is kind of abstract though. Vancouver is actually the only city I've been to on the list, I drove through it on a Canada/Alaska road trip with my grandparents. I will be going to New York this summer though!
